When used safely and wisely, the Hoot ETV can provide a source of fun and family recreation. With safety in mind, a Hoot ETV can be a useful tool for work and a great means of exploring the outdoors. It is the responsibility of all Hoot ETV operators to make each outing a safe one.
  • Hoot ETV is designed for one operator only. Never carry a passenger.
  • Hoot ETVs are for off-road use only. Never operate a Hoot ETV on paved surfaces. Never operate a Hoot ETV on public roads.
  • Protective clothing is a necessity. Always wear an approved motorcycle helmet, eye protection, boots, gloves, long pants and a long sleeved shirt or jacket.
  • Never consume alcohol or drugs before or during Hoot ETV operation.
  • Avoid excessive speeds. Travel at a speed appropriate for the terrain, visibility conditions, and your experience.
  • Do not attempt wheelies, jumps, or other stunts. These can have disastrous results.

It is important to check your state or provincial laws on the operation requirements of off-road vehicles, such as vehicle registration, age restrictions and required equipment and gear. Note: Hoot ETV riders must be 18 years of age.

Take an off-road vehicle safety course! Many regions have ATV associations and clubs that provide safety courses as well as maps to ATV trails in your area.
